Risk Based Inspection (RBI)

Course Description:
RBI – Risk-Based Inspection training course helps attendees understand and use RBI technology, develop a program, and learn which RBI procedures and working process comply with industry standards. The course covers risk determination and planning; assessment of damage mechanisms; and probability of failure, consequences of failure, and various risk determinations.
Course Objective:
The objective of this course is to provide users with the basic minimum and recommended elements for developing, implementing, and maintaining a RBI program. It also provides guidance to owner-users, operators, and designers of pressure-containing equipment for developing and implementing an inspection program.
Course Overview:
A critical look at:
• RBI methodology for a petrochemical or chemical plant,
• identify the degradation mechanism for a corrosion loop,
• determine the probability and consequence of a failure,
• set up a suitable inspection plan
